The American Physical Society, in 1971, established a forum for "physics and society":
https://engage.aps.org/fps/home
They have a WordPress blog:
https://physicsandsocietyforum.wordpress.com/
The "about" paragraph reads as follows:
"The Forum on Physics and Society (FPS) is a forum of the American Physical Society, organized in 1971 to address issues related to the interface of physics and society as a whole. The support of APS members is vital to the work of the Forum, both because Forum activities are coordinated by its active members and the financial support the Forum receives from the APS depends on its membership. All APS members are encouraged to join FPS."
Ram Poudel (2019) published an article there:
https://physicsandsocietyforum.wordpres ... evolution/
Looks like WordPress isn't so good with equation rendering? Poudel then presented at the Mar 2020 meeting:

Strangely, there has been no "social physics", that I recall, other than Poudel, in his forum on "physics and society"? The WordPress tagline reads:
"Exploring the implications of physics research & knowledge in modern society"
Correctly, it should read:
"Exploring the implications of the knowledge of physics as a basis for the modeling of society".
Such as was done by James Madison when he wrote the US constitution, in 1787, using Newtonian mechanics:

American, however, in the years since, biased by polite religious sensitivities, has always been averse to social physics.
