Re: Gerolamo Cardano's (IQ 175) List of Top Geniuses

Re: Gerolamo Cardano's (IQ 175) List of Top Geniuses
I found this so far: “The key scientists are: Archimedes, Ptolemy, Aristotle, Euclid, Scotus, Swineshead, Apollonius, Archytas, Eutocios, al Khwarizmi al Kindi, Heber Hispanus, Galen, and Vitruvius.” — Gerolamo Cardano (1550), De Subtilitate (§16: De Scientiss) Added here: https://hmolpedia.com/page...

“Swineshead’s intellect was ‘beyond the measure’ of human ingenuity’. — Julius Caesar Scaliger (c.1540), Publication; cited by Reijer Hooykaas (1976) in Fact, Faith, and Fiction in the Development of Science (pg. 138) According to Hooykaas, Cardano ordered his 12-person ranking as follows: 1. Also, to put the previous post into context (at least my mental recent context), I just spent the last half dozen hours work in on the Prometheus heat model of life: https://hmolpedia.com/page/Prometheus Where you might note that “life” is the second ranked (by links) term in Hmolpedia, behind therm...
